Pastor Curtis Squirewell was born and grew up in Ridgeway, South Carolina, the middle child of seven children, born to Bishop Eddie J. Squirewell and Eliza M. Squirewell. Interestingly, he has two sisters and a brother older and two sisters and a brother younger. For 38 years he has been married to the former Linda Bryan of Monks Corner, South Carolina and they are the parents of four children: Sharonda, Curtis G., Grayson and David.

Pastor Squirewell served in the U.S. Air Force and is a graduate of Midlands Technical College. He was ordained a Deacon in November, 1988, an Elder in June, 1995, and installed as Pastor of Bible Light Holiness Church of Ridgeway, South Carolina in June, 2003.

Elder Squirewell is inspired by Ecclesiastes 9:10, "Whatsoever thy hand finders to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest."
