OUR BELIEFS

Our beliefs are all credited to our one true Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

 God

There is only one God. He is the all-powerful, all-knowing, ever present, eternal God of goodness and of love. He is the father in creation, the Son in redemption, and the Holy Spirit working in the lives of every believer.

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ was God manifested in the flesh. He was the Son in redemption. Being both God and man, he was the image of the invisible God. He was born of a virgin named Mary and lived a sinless life. He gave his life as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all mankind by dying on the cross. He arose on the third day, showed himself openly to his disciples and ascended to heaven.

(ref: Isaiah 9:6; St Matthew 1:20-23; St John 1:1-3, 14, 21:1; Acts 1:9. 10:40-21; 2 Corinthians 5:19, 21; Philippians 2:6-8; Colossians 1:13-15; Hebrews 9:26-28, 10:10-12)

The Bible

The Holy Scriptures, both Old and the New Testaments, are the inspired word of God. The spirit of God moved upon chosen men to write the scriptures. It is the final authority concerning salvation, truth, right and wrong, and the living of a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

(ref: 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

Salvation

Salvation is the gift of God, given to mankind by grace and received by faith in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ. All mankind are sinners by nature and are reconciled to God by faith and Christ's death on the cross. This saving faith is demonstrated as a person identifies with Christ's death through repentance of sin, burial through water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, and resurrection by in the infilling of the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues.

(ref: Acts 2:4, 38-40; Romans 3:23, 5-10, 6:2-4, 8:2, 11; 1 Corinthians 15:1-3; Ephesians 2:8)

Holiness

God is holy, the angels are holy, and God requires holiness and sanctification of his people. True holiness is attained through complete obedience to the Holy Spirit as it dwells in the God's people. Holiness is a characteristic of God. It is the standard that God requires of all believers.

(ref: Deuteronomy 26:15; Isaiah 35:8, St Matthew 25:31; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; 2 Corinthians 6:16; Ephesians 4:22-24; 1 Peter 1:15-16)

Divine Healing

The physical suffering of the Lord Jesus Christ made healing available, regardless of circumstance, to all those who can believe by faith. It is also a gift of faith given by the Holy Ghost to some believers.

(ref: Isaiah 53:5; St Mark 16:15-18; 1 Corinthians 12:9, 28-30; Hebrews 11:6; 1 Peter 2:24)

Return of Christ

Jesus Christ is coming again. His return has been declared by the Apostles, the angles, and by Jesus Christ himself. The return of the Lord Jesus Christ will be suddenly, without further warning, and it is the expectation and the hope of every believer. The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is the event we all should be preparing for.
